Going Into the Natural Light: Past-Life Regression Therapy and Hypnosis in Nature

The following is a transcript of a brief interview with hypnotherapist Lisa Machenberg, CCHt. Machenberg discusses the power of past-life regression therapy and the benefits of conducting a hypnotherapy session outdoors, preferably near a water source.

Machenberg is an instructor at the Hypnosis Motivation Institute (HIMI) in Tarzana, CA. Visit her website, The Hypno Mom, at https://www.thehypnomom.com.

Past-Life Regression

How powerful is past-life regression therapy and what are the benefits?

“Past-life regression is extremely powerful. Because it reveals what’s been concealed. And through the modus-operandi known as hypnosis… we can get access to memories that we don’t have in a fully-conscious state.”

“And, the same way that the body and the mind and the imagination are able to do problem solving and able to heal, using this method for past-life regression, you can learn lessons from your past lives, either about that you really need to release to go forward, or what you need to regain or remember, things that have been successful, so you can use the exact same experience to be successful again.”

“The other reason that past-life regression is very powerful is because it’s one of the few interventions that you can do that’s wonderfully, perfectly safe. So, you can pick up information from the past to learn about what it’s time to release, but also what it’s time to completely and totally recover, so you can use it as an advantage, to use it as a wonderful tool, in your current life to have a superior quality of life that is more conscious, more meaningful and a lot more fun.”

Benefits of Doing Hypnosis Outdoors

What are the benefits of doing hypnosis outdoors?

“Any kind of hypnosis done outside is extremely effective. When you combine it with mindfulness, it’s called ecotherapy, it’s actually a thing.”

“So many times, so much of the day, people are looking at a screen, which means that they’re isolated. That means that’s they are alienated. That means they are hooked onto an electronic, and they are dependent on it. When you get outside, especially with a hypnotherapist, you are in a communion. You are in an authentic relationship, where there is this unconditional positive regard. There’s full attention. And you can begin to savor what the world looks like and sounds like and feels like and smells like. You can remember what it’s like to have a conversation without distraction with another human being whose only desire is to get you to your therapeutic goal. And being outside, you also get the benefit of being in the natural world, which raises the chemicals of the body, the feel-good chemicals. That would be dopamine, that’s a zest or lust for life. Serotonin, feeling the safety, security that the world is a good place, even for just this one moment in time. You get your endorphins - cause things are beautiful. And so, you also get oxytocin because you are being held by the natural world. So, it is extremely effective, more effective in my opinion than being in an office with the door shut. Certainly more effective than being on the phone. And because you know, when people are on the phone, between you and me, everybody’s also on a second device. And you know what I’m saying is true. So you don’t have that full attention.

“And also, it gets movement. Where sitting doesn’t get you the movement, merely moving your body is very healthy for you. But, when you do past-life regression therapy outside, it’s always good to do it by a water source. Either by the ocean, or a lake, a stream, a pond. Because humankind only created their civilization from 200,000 years ago by water, that’s it. Even in the desert, they were by an oasis. So, every single person has had every single past life near a water source. So, being near it stimulates the memories.”
